Simple Alarms is a free alarm and timer app for iOS and Android. Soft chimes, no ads, and no in-app purchases. Alarms and timers stay on your device.

Getting started

1. Allow notifications (and exact alarms on Android) when the app asks — otherwise a ring can be delayed or silent.
2. Tap + to create an alarm, or open the Timer tab for a countdown.
3. Pick a time, a chime, and a repeat rule. Preview the chime before you save.
4. When it rings, snooze or stop from the full-screen screen.

Alarms

Each alarm has a time, an optional title, a chime, volume, optional 15-second volume ramp, auto-silence, snooze, and vibration. Two alarms cannot share the same date and time — Save stays disabled until the conflict is cleared.

Repeat options

• Once — a single date and time.
• Weekly — chosen weekdays.
• Monthly — a day of the month.
• Yearly — a date each year.
• Advanced — every other day, every 3 days, every 2 weeks on chosen days, first or last day of the month, ordinal weekdays (for example “second Tuesday”), or a custom hour/minute interval. Optional end date.

Timers

Start a countdown from presets (1–60 minutes) or a custom length. Pause, resume, or reset. Finished timers keep a short history so you can run the same length and chime again.

If an alarm does not ring

• Confirm notifications are allowed for Simple Alarms.
• On Android, allow exact alarms and, if you use Do Not Disturb, grant the optional DND exception.
• After a reboot, unlock the phone once so scheduled alarms can be restored.
